Rooted: University Hub
A campus app for university students on iOS and Android: news, events, dining menus, clubs and local businesses in one place, with an AI assistant that answers questions about the school.
The challenge
Campus information is scattered across university websites, emails, social media and notice boards. Students miss events, do not know which dining halls are open, and local businesses have no simple way to reach them.
What we built
Rooted brings campus life into one React Native app for iOS and Android, backed by a NestJS API and MySQL. Students choose what they follow, bookmark events and sync them to their calendar, check dining hours and menus, and message campus businesses directly. The app is in active use, with regular releases.
